London named world's best student city in QS Student Cities Ranking

06 August 2019

London has been named the world's best student city by QS in their 2019 Best Student Cities Ranking.

It is the second year in a row London has finished top of the ranking, seeing off competition from Tokyo and Melbourne. Other UK cities in the top 30 included Edinburgh (15th) and Manchester (29th). Cities across the world were scored over six different categories including:

  • Number of top-ranked universities
  • Proportion of a city's population made up of students
  • Quality of life on offer
  • Job opportunities available after graduation
  • Affordability
  • Feedback from students

Lalage Clay, Director of Education and Talent at London & Partners, the Mayor of London's official promotional agency and home of Study London, said: "These are truly fantastic results for London, confirming its outstanding reputation as the best student city in the world for the second consecutive year. We are extremely proud of London's many world-class universities."

My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
