Former Premier League footballers to open new university this September

19 August 2019

A university set up by former Manchester United and Premier League footballers, part of the famed "Class of 92", will formally open its doors to students for the first time this September.

Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt are behind University Academy 92, with its sport, media and business degrees validated by Lancaster University. Students will be given the option to take lectures in the morning or afternoon for four days a week, allowing greater flexibility in their class schedules, whilst each student is also given a personal development coach.

Gary Neville, who played for England 85 times, said: "Our aim is that university students will of course leave with an academic qualification, but also a range of skills such as how to deal with pressure, an understanding of finance, leadership, presentational skills and also how to maintain a healthy body and mind."

My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
