University College Birmingham provides a scholarship scheme for international undergraduate students who can demonstrate high academic attainment.

Open to applications from international students starting a full-time course at undergraduate level (e.g. BA/BSc degree courses), the High Achievers Scholarship offers a discount on the first year of your tuition fees.

Applicants who have achieved an academic score of at least 70% are eligible for the scholarship. Discounts are awarded on a scale linked to your level of academic achievement, ranging from £3,000 to a full waiver of your first year tuition fee, as detailed below:

Eligibility criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:

  • You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate course at University College Birmingham starting in the current or upcoming academic year – part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.

  • You must have overseas international student status and be paying overseas international rate tuition fees.

  • You must have paid your 50% tuition fee deposit to the University.

  • This scholarship is available to students during the first year of study only.

For students starting in September 2024, applications must be received no later than 14 June.
